Franz was born in Nassau and received an AABA degree in Banking & Finance from the College of The Bahamas; a BBA in Marketing & Finance from Acadia University in Canada; and an MBA from the University of Warwick in England. He worked as an Inspector at the National Insurance Board for three years before his transfer by the Ministry of Tourism to London in 1990. Franz progressed rapidly at the Bahamas Tourist Office in London and resigned as European Development Manager in 2004 to pursue a singing career. In 2003, Franz was one of the six finalists (selected from 2,500 entrants) on Operatunity, an award winning television programme for classical singers which aired on British, American, Australian and Italian TV. He has done numerous opera premieres and has worked with some of the world's leading conductors, composers, vocal coaches and musicians. He has performed in the USA, Canada, Dubai and throughout Europe and focuses on exclusive private clubs and resorts. In 2013, for his charity and community work in the UK, he was invited to a special reception at St James's Palace State Apartments hosted by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. He is a tourism and research consultant and has done work for various travel and tourism companies in the UK and Bahamas. Franz is currently writing a book examining little known aspects of Bahamian history.
